Building on the success of the French Tasting Championship (the new formula of which has existed since 2003) and the European Tasting Championship, created in 2008, La Revue du vin de France inaugurated its first World Tasting Championship in 2013 which brought together twelve teams at Château Larrivet Haut-Brion ( Pessac Léognan).

Throughout the year, selections took place in many competing countries to designate the teams that will participate in the grand final of this world tasting. For 2024 nearly 40 countries are expected at Château Dauzac.
